Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Dapper Dads is a park-day companion from The Dapper Dads, hosts of Disney World is Awesome.

Unofficial fan app. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company or Walt Disney World Resort. No harassment, sexual content, or illegal posts. We remove what breaks these rules.

This policy is for the Dapper Dads app and the site we publish it on. It says what we collect, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to reach us.

We do not sell your data.

Who we are

The Dapper Dads made this app. We are fans. We are not Disney.

Questions or a request about your data: open the app and tap Contact the Dads. We ask for a name and email so we can reply. Required to send that message. We do not print an email address on this page.

Reports about other people’s posts come to us in the app, through Report. They do not go to a public board.

What this app is not

For 1.0 we do not collect Location. We do not collect Health or fitness data. We do not use Sign in with Apple.

The App Store listing is 13+ on iOS 26 and later, and 9+ on older iOS. This app is not directed at children under 13.

You give us

The app creates

If you never post, never comment, never log a trip, never turn on alerts, and never tap Contact the Dads, we are not holding a profile on you.

How we use it

Show Hype posts and comments. Send the alerts you asked for. Review reports and remove posts that break the house rules. Reply if you contacted us. Keep the app running.

We send Hype photos, captions, and comments to OpenAI to check for safety before they post. If that check is down, the post does not go up.

We do not use this data to advertise to you. We do not sell it.

Who else sees it

Other people in the app see what you post and comment.

OpenAI (safety check on Hype photos, captions, and comments. Not our photo gallery).

Vendors: Vercel (hosting). Redis (Hype posts, Trip Log copies that sync today, and short-lived neighborhood data). Vercel Blob (Hype photos). JSONBlob (podcast comments). Open-Meteo (weather for the park area on screen, not device GPS; not your name). ThemeParks.wiki (waits; not Hype). Apple (push if allowed). Google Fonts (typefaces). Esri / OpenStreetMap (map tiles). IEM NEXRAD (radar tiles). RainViewer (radar fallback if NEXRAD is down). Resend (sends Contact the Dads mail; they see the name, email, and message so we can reply).

Vendors we use may only use this data to provide their service to us.

We do not hand your data to Disney.

We do not use an analytics SDK.

How long we keep it

Hype posts, photos, and Hype comments: 14 days, or sooner if they break the rules or you ask. Podcast comments: 90 days. Push tokens and device ids: until alerts are off, the app is deleted, or the token dies. Trip Log server copies: until you ask us to delete them, or we drop them after the cloud cut. Contact name and email: long enough to reply and finish the request, then we drop them. Reports: long enough to handle them, then we drop them.

Your choices

Post and comment only if you want. First name on Hype is optional. You only give a name and email if you tap Contact the Dads. Turn alerts off in the app or iPhone Settings → Dapper Dads → Notifications. Report. Block. Delete a trip. Contact the Dads to ask what we have or to remove a post you made.

Kids

The App Store listing is 13+ on iOS 26 and later, and 9+ on older iOS. This app is not directed at children under 13. If a child under 13 sent us personal information, Contact the Dads and we will delete it.
